| Blue Chalcedony |
|
| Blue Chalcedony is a blue form of chalcedony (microcrystaline quartz). It is found in many places, with most of the best material currently coming from Namibia. Another highly desirable form of this material is Holly Blue Agate (found in Oregon), which has a lovely purplish-blue color. Most of the pictures show a both some white spots (light reflections) and a band (shadow and reflection from the room behind the camera). This shows more on the higher domed stones. I have described any exceptions of actual inclusions on the stones for which it is relative. |
